Working at the redefinition level prepares students by: |
You are the King (or Queen) of the seven seas, riding high on the waves of possibility! Redefinition is the final level of the SAMR framework. At this step, teachers are operating at a level of mastery with many digital and social media technologies, and can use them in new ways to facilitate learning experiences previously unheard of. You help your students to contribute to the ocean of information around them as a productive digital citizen. Technology is utilised as support for student-directed learning and collaboration.The redefined learning experience allows learners to connect, to collaborate and create with communities across the world; learning itself is fundamentally changed to involve the learner as never before.

Fostering engagement and social expression
- Interest-driven and interactive experiences facilitate the student's productive involvement in the digital and real-world communities. Increasing accessibility to knowledge and learning experiences -Encouraging students to gain mastery over a range of freely accessible social media and digital communication technologies promotes equality and encourages lifelong learning. Expanding social supports for interests -Facilitating safe, informed and successful navigation of the online realm equips learners to make connections, explore interests, and collaborate with like-minded individuals. Expanding diversity and building capacity -Providing multiple opportunities to develop widely applicable skills to navigate and engage with a vast range of digital and social media technologies needed, resulting in building the capacity of the future leaders of Australia. |
